This milestone would not have been possible without the love, support, and hard work of so many. To everyone who helped us plan, prepare, and bring this celebration to life—thank you. Whether you served on a committee, volunteered your time, gave financially, or simply showed up with your prayers and encouragement, your contributions made this moment unforgettable. To those who joined us to celebrate, both near and far—thank you for sharing in this joyous occasion. Your presence reminded us of the bonds of love and fellowship that make Galilee so special. On Family Day, we were blessed to have our members invite their loved ones to worship with us. Dr. Charles M. Wednesday Meditation: Energy For Today Therefore, Wednesday Meditation: Energy For Today Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Life can be demanding and draining on our energy. Amazingly, new technologies designed to speed up progress, save time, and make life easier have done the opposite. People find themselves exhausted with little time to spare after daily activities. Supplements and caffeinated energy drinks offer limited help. However, the Scriptures offer their remedy to our energy depletion. Hebrew 12:1-2 Scripture: "Therefore, since such a great cloud of witnesses surrounds us, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." — Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV) Reflection: Technology and quick fixes might offer temporary relief, but they often leave us feeling more burdened. The Scripture in Hebrews reminds us to focus on what truly matters: casting off distractions and persevering in faith. By fixing our eyes on Jesus, we find renewed strength and purpose, much deeper than what the world offers. Supporting Scriptures: Isaiah 40:31 - "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength..." Matthew 11:28 - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Takeaway: The energy we seek is found not in worldly solutions but in aligning our lives with God’s will, persevering in faith, and drawing strength from Him. Conclusion: In the race of life, let us not rely on the false promises of modern life, but on God’s power and guidance. Let's shed the unnecessary burdens and distractions that drain us, and instead, find our strength and purpose in Him.
