Plan of Salvation
The Bible is very clear about what it takes to be saved. Here is the simple plan of salvation revealed in God’s word:
Acknowledge that God has not been first in your life, and ask Him to forgive your sins.
1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 3:9-12 – Since none of us is perfect, all of us are sinners
Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”
1 John 1:10 – “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
Believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins and that He rose again, and is alive today.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Romans 10:9: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Mark 16:16: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Confess that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. Choose to allow God to be in charge of your life.
Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it.
Ephesians 2:8-9: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- [9] Not by works, so that no one can boast.
